In very simple terms the Japanese Kanji characters, 本田, mean Honda. At Classic Automotive, we follow some of the same philosophies as Soichiro Honda, in that we try to help our clients find a balance between personal functionality, optimal performance, and maintenance of their beloved Honda Elements so that they last for many miles. I have been a Honda mechanic/technician for 25 years, and in that time have amassed a substantial amount of knowledge of the brand, its heritage, and how to diagnose and maintain most major systems in our vehicles. We specialize in suspension upgrades, engine and transmission upgrades, repairing 03-06 Element instrument clusters, repairing the dreaded p2646/p2647/p1009 code that has many Element’s stuck in perpetual limp mode and unable to rev past 3,000 rpm’s, and most needed diagnostic work. In our day to day shop, we do a lot of valve adjustments and regular maintenance on local Elements, but that does not keep people from driving to the shop to have work done on their Elements.
